Chiropractic approaches

Dr. Masae has thorough training in a variety of gentle chiropractic approaches and techniques, which allow her to customize care to each person’s needs.

These approaches include:

-NetworkSpinal   -Bio-Geometric Integration   -Cranial work

-Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT)   -Webster Technique   -Toggle/upper cervical

Chiropractic care for the whole family

Children instinctively copy their parents, including their physical habits, stress responses, and emotional regulation methods.

When a parent has postural issues, nervous system dysregulation, or tension in their body, we often see these same or similar patterns show up in their kids .

Environmental factors also play a big role, as families often engage in similar daily activities, from prolonged screen time and sedentary behaviors to sleep schedules, furniture usage, diet, exercise, and more.

Chiropractic care for the whole family supports everyone across all age groups, from newborns to seniors, in maintaining correct  spinal alignment and nervous system regulation.

For this reason, we highly encourage families to receive care together, to promote the formation of beneficial habits that can endure throughout life and raise healthy future generations.

Pediatric Care

Dr. Masae has thorough training through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association ( ICPA) to provide gentle chiropractic care to infants and children.

This care helps newborns get their best possible start at life by helping them unwind tension and stress from the birth process, which can place immense pressure on their tiny spines.

As babies and kids continue to grow rapidly, they are always trying to adapt to their environments, and may develop spinal misalignments and nervous system issues.

These can manifest as colic, ear infections, postural or cranial asymmetries, torticollis, delayed milestones, sensory processing issues, frequent colds, trouble sleeping, and more.

Pediatric chiropractic care supports the body’s natural ability to adapt to physical and emotional stressors, and aids in the proper development of a child’s nervous system that can benefit them for their entire lives.

Pregnancy Care

Dr. Masae holds a certification in the  Webster Technique, which allows her to provide specialized care to pregnant patients.

The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment that reduces nervous system stress, balances the pelvic bones, muscles, and ligaments, and optimizes pelvic function throughout all trimesters of pregnancy and childbirth.

BABY POSITIONING

While Webster-certified chiropractors don’t “turn babies”, by focusing on the mother’s spinal and pelvic alignment, this allows the baby to get into the optimal position for birth on their own!

LESS PAIN/DISCOMFORT

Chiropractic care during pregnancy provides an excellent source of relief for mamas with back/pelvic pain, digestive issues, sleep issues, and stress.

SHORTER LABOR TIME

Studies have shown that women who received chiropractic care throughout their pregnancies experienced 25% shorter labor for first-time moms, and 31% shorter labor for moms who had birthed before.

POST-PARTUM CARE

Chiropractic care can help moms recover through the post-partum period, and can help both parents/caregivers adjust to the potential stressors and challenges of new parenthood.

NetworkSpinal

Network Spinal (formerly known as Network Spinal Analysis or NSA) is a revolutionary chiropractic methodology created by Dr. Donny Epstein. This is the primary chiropractic method that Dr. Masae uses with clients.

Instead of manually manipulating the spinal joints (often associated with a “popping” or “cracking” sound”), this method involves light, precise touches to the spine which cue the brain to release and unwind tension and energy from areas where it is bound up in the body.

NetworkSpinal care is about so much more than symptom-relief, but fosters true healing and transformation.

Benefits of NetworkSpinal care include:
-Enhanced body awareness
-More adaptability to stressors/challenges
-Break through limiting beliefs/behaviors
-More effective healing and body function
-More energy to make constructive life choices
-Greater capacity for heart-felt connection

Bio-Geometric Integration

Bio-Geometric Integration (BGI) is an approach to chiropractic developed by Dr. Sue Brown, who discovered and mapped out geometric planes of the human body, finding that specific parts mirrored and correlated with other similar parts, with patterns repeating throughout the body.

This approach views the human body as a whole ‘ tensegrity‘ structure- simply meaning that everything is connected to everything else. A change to one part of the body affects change to all the other parts, physical, emotional, mental, spiritual.

Cranial work

Dr. Masae provides cranial work suitable for all ages- from newborns to seniors. With this work, gentle pressure is applied to the bones of the skull and face to release tension, optimize alignment and flow of CSF, improve brain function, nervous system balance, and encourages deep relaxation.

For infants and children, cranial work may help address feeding difficulties, sleep disturbances, and developmental concerns following birth trauma or positioning issues.

For adults, this work can provide relief from chronic headaches, circulation issues, TMJ dysfunction, sinus issues, and neck tension while supporting overall nervous system function. Many patients find it beneficial for stress-related symptoms and sleep quality.
