About Bodhi Tree Chiropractic

The word “Bodhi” (bow-dee) means “Awakened” in Sanskrit. It is said that the Buddha Siddhartha Gautama attained awakening while sitting under a bodhi tree over 2,000 years ago.

Bodhi Tree Chiropractic was so named inspired by the interconnectedness of humans and nature, and the inherent ability of all beings to transform and awaken.

At Bodhi Tree Chiropractic, we recognize that your physical health is not separate from your emotional, mental, and spiritual health.

We also recognize that the human body has a profound innate wisdom to organize and heal itself. With chiropractic care, we help to facilitate the body’s natural self-healing, self-organizing power, and re-organize to a higher level of coherence.

Over the past 12+ years, Dr. Masae Hori has helped people heal through all kinds of challenges including headaches, back pain, neck pain, arthritis, autoimmune disorders, allergies and asthma, sinus issues, anxiety and depression, and so much more.

Meet the Doctor

Hello! My name is Masae (“MA-suh-ay”) and I was born and raised in New Jersey where I first saw a chiropractor as a teenager. My mother had been seeing a chiropractor for back pain and scoliosis, and that chiropractor encouraged the daughters (my sisters and I) to get checked. One day at the chiropractor, my mother asked our chiropractor why he decided to be a chiropractor. The answer he gave was simple: “I like to work with my hands.” That simple answer resonated with me, and I found this to be true for me too, years later, and I enrolled in chiropractic college at Life University in Marietta, GA, after finishing my Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology at Ramapo College of NJ.

While in school at Life U, I explored the various chiropractic techniques offered through student-run clubs, and it was through these clubs that I first encountered NetworkSpinal chiropractic (then known as “Network Spinal Analysis”). I was intrigued by watching a “Network entrainment” (adjustment) demonstrated, with the practitioner barely touching the patient’s spine, and a wave-like movement rippled through the person’s body. This method of chiropractic was unlike any other I had experienced at the time, and I was skeptical but intrigued enough to experience it for myself, and learn to practice this way. It challenged my analytical thinking mind, and woke up my creative intuitive side to the unlimited possibilities of healing and transformation through this work.

Through Network care, I experienced not just bodily pain relief, but it sharpened my senses- colors were brighter, sounds were clearer, tastes were richer and more vibrant than ever before. It was like a foggy lens I had been looking through my whole life was suddenly wiped clean. The weight of years of struggles with anxiety and depression also lessened, and I felt a renewed enthusiasm for life. Finding Network chiropractic care was so life-changing for me that I knew I had to share this kind of chiropractic care with others.

While studying other various techniques, I also found Bio-Geometric Integration (BGI), a similar and equally profound chiropractic approach. Today, I incorporate NetworkSpinal chiropractic, BGI, and cranial work into a comprehensive gentle holistic approach to achieve the best results possible for healing and transformation for my clients.

I have been practicing NetworkSpinal chiropractic for over 12 years, and am certified at the highest level in this work (Level III certification), and have taken the most advanced training (Master-E) offered by the creator of Network Spinal, Dr. Donny Epstein.

In 2021, I moved to the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania to be with my partner, Dr. Shaun Gallagher (a fellow chiropractor). I have since grown to love the Lehigh Valley and am committed to serving the people of this community.

After several years of working in other chiropractic offices, I started Bodhi Tree Chiropractic, my first solo practice, in 2022 out of a small office in Wilson borough of Easton, and moved to it’s current home a few blocks away in 2025.
